Be abandoned

Abandonment

Leaves a hole

That feels it can never be filled

No amount of anything you put in

Will ever amount to what was taken from

The time spent

Just passing

Waiting for love I thought was coming

Bounding towards me with a dozen roses

From someone seemingly out

Side

On the other side

Two sided

waging the pieces against one another

Not a war per se

Just two defended lines

The heart, hurt too early to see its strength

Closed it’s doors and hid itself away

The masculine turned away

The heart hidden, the goods broken, the gems covered

Found no reason to stay

He wandered he roamed he found plenty of homes

Except for the one who he cast away

With his words or his ways

Or his deafening phrases

She was never to be found again

Until one day he cried forgiveness on all sides

He admitted defeat to the heart

Knowing this was the place to start

To return to her graces

To her warm embraces

He began his trek back to her core

Over hills over mountains

Through rivers and valleys

The deserts almost scorched his sordid trials

All he desires

Is to give up his ways

To hide the pathways taken once before

To move forward with her hand in his like the times of glory

Make glittering gold pathways of loving compassion

Of union of gliding through time

She's prayed every day

He’d return to her that day

Every day she’d prepare to meet a man

Little did she know he played within her own show

And until she could meet the one she waited for within

She would only rehearse the same narrative she knows.

The man would abandon

Throw fire to the wind

Start to reign in the blow,

Little did she know…

He would never cease to be present

To pick up the phone

To answer when called

To be by her side at all costs

But it’s never enough just him being by her side

What she craved was a thousand years of unknown

Of being told she didn’t know

Of being cast into the shadow

Of believing she was powerless and meak

And weak

Instead of the warrior that lies dormant in her bones

This schizophrenic composition of friends and foes

They all plainly know, her desires are simple though

She just wants to love all the days through

Feel her heart and her breath

Feel her purpose and her depth

Be in the mystery but know the direction

Feel the truth pour from her mouth in every direction.

To whip with the winds and whisper to her siblings

The way of the heart lives on

Together they celebrate as each beat rings stronger

And then you trust

And life hands you another rose

To continue on

To bloom

To blossom

To create another petal

To meet life halfway

To co create

To meld in whats given

To what's done

To model humanity

To serve evolution

To leap into unknown waters

To weave together

All that was once broken

To see that it never really was.
