As we remember how to listen to the earth, we must learn to listen first to the rhythm of our own hearts.

How to inhabit it, to express it, to explore it, to divulge it, to turn it upside down, to soften so it can reveal itself to me. I did workshops, festivals, retreats, climbed small mountains, sat more ceremonies than I could count, watched fires burn to their ashen state, and learned to create a meaningful and monumental shift in the way I interact with my reality. I exist in ritual, I offer blessings (to those seen and unseen), I honor all beings, I pray, I bow, I dance, I unmask, I undress, I become the unraveling of myself. I open my voice, I empower my truth, I reveal the vulnerable aspects I thought were banished from my view. As I slowly climb from the hole in my core, wondering if, what and where i’ll find myself on the other side… I can only hope that through the findings I share here, from the depths of my unworthiness, insecurity, anger, fear, and self doubt, some can find solace in my words, in my truths. I bring from these throws of my most sacred spaces, the essences of what brought me through to the completion of creation. These words encompass the vastness of my experience in all its colors (using only black and white), yet the knowing that although I am growing, I am always in a process of unlearning. This road, is my destination, my path, is not my goal. I am simply rooting into the space that holds whatever life may be. With reverence to all those who have come before me, a nod to all those to come, I release my words, my threads, and my stories…to make space for what’s to come.
